When I started this blog it was to try and keep myself on track into getting my body into shape. Yeah, that hasn't happened. But...since my brother-in-law has decided to lose 25 lbs by the end of the year I decided to join up and commit to losing 15, instead of waiting for the new year and gaining 15 through the Holidays. Will it actually happen? Who knows. But at least it's a goal I can work towards. Since I'm holding myself accountable I guess I better post my starting weight 212.8. Ugh!
To help myself keep in the midset of "I can do this" I heard or read something the other day about thinking about food the same way I think about drugs/alcohol. You need to realize that some food is just as bad or as addicting as other things that aren't good for the body. So, if you see me eating/drinking junk (ie soda, candy, sweets) please ask me how my most recent goal is to help me stay on track.
And thanks to my dad and grandpa I know have some delicious apples to snack on instead!

Birthday 2012
For my birthday this year we went up Big Cottonwood Canyon for a picnic. We had some yummy baked potatoes and chili. Thanks to Jalaine for baking the potatoes and to Greg for being the chili heater upper man. After eating we went for a walk around Silver Lake. The two kiddos and myself went one way where we saw this lovely creature
Not sure what he's doing here.
After we got back to Jalaine's house we had cake that was beautifully decorated by her and Lex.
They tried to tell me it was decorated in fall colors, but I really know it was sec
etly a USC cake, regardless it was delicious!
The little eyes on Mas got so big, he stopped on the boardwalk and told us "Shh, don't move".
We kept walking around and met up with eveyone else who had gone the other way around and stopped for a little photo shoot.
